Gir Jungle Trail is the core safari zone of Gir National Park, the only natural habitat of the Asiatic lion. Visitors can explore this protected forest in open jeeps accompanied by expert guides. The trail offers a 3-hour adventure through dry deciduous forests, grasslands, and rivers, with chances to spot lions, leopards, deer, hyenas, crocodiles, and over 300 species of birds. Safari bookings must be made in advance online, and the park is open from mid-October to mid-June.
Devalia Safari Park, also known as the Gir Interpretation Zone, is a fenced wildlife area near Sasan Gir offering a quick and reliable chance to spot Asiatic lions, leopards, deer, nilgai, and more. Spread over 412 hectares, it’s a “mini Gir” experience ideal for visitors with limited time. Safaris are conducted in open jeeps and mini-buses, with high wildlife sighting chances. The park is open daily (except Wednesdays) with morning and afternoon slots and offers both Indian and foreigner-friendly ticket options.
